The lady at the desk was very pleasant.
The smoking room I requested was overly powerful. There was no way I could sleep in that stench and I have smoked for 28 years. The staff were very accommodating in finding me a non-smoking room.

Cheap room with instead of a queen bed and a fridge and microwave, as example, and the pool was nice.

The late check in due to key machine failure. I wasnt offer any type of compensation. It seem like by the time we were able to get a ride back over there, got settle it was time to check out . However the staff did apologize for the this mishap..

The staff was accommodating and attentive, the hotel was spotless and placed in an old part of the city short walk to downtown. Everything was nice, yet a few employees were not so good! Good service and a very clean pool onsite. Late check-out was useful. The location was comfy, right on a freeway!

bed and pillow are horrible and walls are paper thin had loud neighbors both nights and got little to no sleep. Plus location next to 526 on ramp is poor. Will never saty at this motel 6. In fact will use other chains before choosing motel 6 based on this experience.

The office staff is wonderful. They are cheerful and pleasant. The office staff readily addressed my needs to enhance my stay. The made me feel welcome.
The property resides in what I learned is a “high crime” area and rather than address the issues with trespassers the owner/operated to hire “off-duty police” although these “officers” drive Charleston Marked cars (The Official Charleston Police “Black and White” Patrol Units). During my stay several officers harassed me and told me, A Retired USAF Senior Airman, that if I was on the property outside my room they would escort me off the property and Motel 6 would evict me from my prepaid room. During my stay I personally witnessed hotel patrons, who also had prepaid rooms, being harassed and stories related to me of the Violation of the ability to use the Contacted Rights to the rooms they occupied and the adjacent shopping areas. One friend who I met there informed me that the police said if she, a woman with a job cleaning residences in the area, was considered to be “Soliciting” (The reader may read anything they like in the use of hat word with a woman; however, her and I and others take DIRECT OFFENCE to its use. I will be pursuing “Legal Action” against Motel 6 and the “Off-Duty Police Officers” who patrolled the property for “Offensive/Harassing” and “Insulting Innuendos”. I will also ask the DA enter official charges against the Charleston Police Force on behalf of Citizen Tax Payers for misuse of public property and “Officers” who are contracted to be able to wear their uniforms and Police Cars to do provide duty. In whatever capacity “off” or “on” duty these Police officers, again in Their Police Uniform” and Driving “Official Police Cruisers” gave this Retired Airman an Unlawful Order and Denied me and others “Contractual Right of Use” on behalf of Motel 6 Corporation!

The staff was friendly and the room would have been nice if it were cleaned good. The comforter was wrinckled up the blancket had chips and other stuff in it and the table had not been wiped off. It looked like someone had been eating on it before we got there. We had to use our own sheets and pillows b/c there was no way i was sleeping in the ones provided
